Pulpit Minister & Wife - Trevor & Karen Smoot
Trevor Smoot has been our pulpit minister since July of 2026. Originally from West Liberty, OH, he left home in 2019 to attend the Bear Valley Bible Institute. Upon graduating in 2022, he worked as a domestic missionary in Mississippi while under the eldership of the Margaret Street congregation in Milton, FL. He is husband to his wife Karen, and they were married in April 2026.
When asked what motivates him to preach and teach God's Word, Trevor said, "Christ spoke of a 'coming hour' in which 'true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth' (John 4:23a). I seek to help expand and fortify the number of 'such people,' because these are whom 'the Father seeks to be His worshippers' (John 4:23b). Only God's wisdom and Word will make this possible, so I strive to understand His will for myself, my household, and the rest of His."
